Social Media
Whilst creating our trailer to advertise our film, we began to think about other ways we could effective reach our target audience. Due to the fact our target audience is young adults between the ages of 15-30, we thought the perfect way to do so would be to create social media pages. This will successfully target our audience as this age group are stereotypically known for their advance knowledge of technology and constant use of social media such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. With this in mind, we create our own Facebook page. Here, we will post institutional information in order to inform he audience of the release date, directors, actors, production company etc, as well as behind the scenes footage and pictures. This will allow us to connect with our audience personally whilst receiving their feedback/comments on our trailer, poster, film etc. Taken (a thriller film) had received 4,592,850 likes on their Facebook page as of February 2018, which proved to be an effective way of reaching their target audience and promoting their film.
