In this task I attempted to recreate an existing Total Film poster, with the original being on the left and the recreated copy on the right. This was a difficult task as the only image that I could find of Robert Downey Jr as Sherlock Holmes did not have a lot of room above his head. This meant that I had to use the clone tool as well as the spray paint brush to recreated the fade at the top of the magazine. I feel that this was successful once I discovered how to use these tools to give the best effect, eg using different shades of blue layered along with a different sized brush. Another difficulty that I came across would be that the image was very grey toned where as the original is almost turquoise. The closest colour match that I could get was a darkish blue, lightened up with more turquoise coloured fonts.
Overall, I am really happy with the result as I think that the two magazines are very similar, however if I did this task again I would make sure that I spent a little bit longer trying to match the shade of blue.
